Chapter IX

I pray to her in the cab.
She just prays I let her out.
Start driving away down the dusty road.
Try to start a general conversation.
She won't answer. Surrounded by the cool clear,
Dark of night as we race down the road.
A star twinkles as she blankly stares,
And reflects nothing.

The table all set and ready to go.
Every little thing has to be so perfect before I reveal myself.
I gently slide the mask off and smile.
I search the frequencies of Hell until I find the tone of angels.

I sit with her a while and try to pretend.
I whisper pretty things to her, she doesn't feel a thing.
Once I'm inside, the models all mine.
And reflects nothing.

Getting high, I can't help but reflect
On a world not my own of abuse and neglect.

Not my place. So much has been taken from me.
I still get by, booze and lust; that's all I need.
Except for one part, my heart so cold.
Bitches around the world, frozen to my soul.
One more stiff broad isn't going to matter.
