Retomo mi día de conejo,I resume my day of a rabbit,
mi noche de elefante en reposo.my night of an elephant in repose.

Y, para mí mismo, digo:And, to myself, I say:
esta es mi inmensidad en crudo, en jarros,this is my immensity in the raw, in jugfuls,
este es mi peso grácil, que me buscó abajo para convertirse en pájaro;this is my graceful weight, that sought me below to become a bird;
esto es mi brazothis is my arm
que por sí solo se negó a ser ala,that on its own refused to be a wing,
aquí están mis escrituras,there are my scriptures,
aquí mis testículos alarmados.there my alarmed cullions.

Una isla lúgubre me iluminará continental,A lugubrious island will illuminate me continental,
mientras la capital se apoya en mi colapso íntimowhile the capitol leans on my intimate collapse
y la asamblea llena de lanzas aplaza mi desfile.and the lance-filled assembly adjourns my parade.

Pero cuando mueraBut when I die
de vida y no de tiempo,from life and not from time,
cuando mis dos maletas se conviertan en dos,when my two suitcases become two,
