Hit & Run

December 5th we nearly froze
We warmed our hands over the kitchen stove
You put up a fight but when my arms had closed
You’d found your way into my coat
And there you stayed

I want to throw a punch that’ll make you proud

Defenselessly

Driving home I couldn’t help but laugh at you
Trying to stop shivering like you had something to prove
Soon that black dress won’t be dancing no more
