Same Mistake

Was there ever a time when you believed in what you said? How easy was it to give up, and leave it behind.
Maybe I gave to much, but i thought it was worth the effort. And for a moment, I thought you cared.
Just once, can I believe in you without feeling so let down. It seems I´ve made the same mistake again.
Another time I´m left to wonder if you are still there.
What should I expect, ´cause it´s nothing new, but this time nothing´s left.
I guess it´s for the best. It was never about how hard you tried, it was a matter of how well you played a part.
