Tell me what's been going on?
It's been a good year this far along
And a banner year for things gone wrong
And a revolution for impulsive types,
Who never put all their problems away
'Cause when you might look up to the sky
Thinking about your dreams and wonder why
It's a banner year for finding where you are
Never lock all the dreamers away!
Why can't I see through
The windows I need to?
Or wash all the sand from my eyes?
Run away fighting
Lightning and writing
My way back to the corner I'm in
So as not to upset natures will
I will sing along as if until
It's a banner year for leaving things unsaid
Never throw those old ideas away
And it looks like I might get my way
