Strongbow's Death

Sturdy companion to the master of fate
Faithful retainer of the dark-elven blade
War-weathered captain, no bow was as true
Cruelly entwined in the dark foe's doom

As his bonds are loosed he is roused
With a prick of that treacherous blade
A fit of wild rage and a lightning flash
And revealed is his friend's lifeless face

Despair!

Quietly he comes by the captors at night
Rescues the outlaw, settles his plight
Hounded by thunder and the cold driving rain
Now will the cursed victim be stirred from his tormented daze
