Lakes of Sleep

I've been longing for some years
It's the journey that awakes my fear
If I don't try it I won't get it done
I've been moving with the pace of snails
Standing still like the bricks I'm in
And now I'm down here in a lake so steep

I've been hanging with the ones I need
To help me learn how to do indeed
I'm just waiting all the crucial things
A little warning in my head it seems

So what is emotion
A pain in the heart when you breathe?
I've got no devotion
I'm trying but I can't believe

I've been walking to the end of rain
Pushing forward in the speeding lane
But I am back to where I started now
The silence taunts me with the darkest noice within
The lights keeps shining with the darkest ring
And I am stuck in the midst of the void

So what is emotion
