Gingen zwei Männer aus Emmaus und sprachen auf ihrem Weg;Two men from emmaus walked and talked along their way;
Als plötzlich aus dem Nichts,When all of a sudden from out of nowhere,
Jemand kam, der so weise schien;Came a one that seemed to be so wise;
Unbemerkt von beiden,Unbeknownst to either,
Sprachen sie mit dem Christus.They were talking with the christ.

Und er kam und sprach zu ihnen;And he came and spoke to them;
Er öffnete die Schrift,He opened the scripture,
Damit ihre Augen klar sehen konnten;So their eyes could plainly see;

Den Tod am Golgatha besiegte;Conquering death at calvary;
