Strolling in the sand as the daylight is breaking
My gaze locked down upon the steps I am taking
Searching for the fragment of a discarded bottle
Polished in the sea perfectly like a model

White fluorescent light and a diamond-star halo
Effervescent sight, my eyes follow where they go
She tells me to come back when the tides will be turning
My body's saying yes, but my heart is still burning, I say...

"Girly Pearl, no you can't take it"
"Girly Pearl, you don't make or break it for me"
"Girly Pearl, I'm a fool to turn you down"
"But Girly Pearl, there are treasures to be found in the sea!"

Distracted by the worthless seashells and stones
I make my way up to the jetty alone
