Jungle Of My Thoughts

In the darkness of the jungle, my steps echo
Leaves fall like tears that never stop
Between vines and shadows, I lose myself more
Each sigh of mine, the birds carry away

I wish I could fly like them
But my wings no longer exist
The dark green swallows me whole
And loneliness is my companion

In the jungle of my thoughts
I lost my way, I lost the time
The trees hold secrets
Of a love that went with the wind
In the jungle of my laments
Every drop of rain is torment
And even surrounded by life
I feel more lost

The sounds of the forest hide my screams
Each animal carries a bit of my conflict
The Moon hides behind the foliage
Leaving only wild memories

And if I surrender to this forest?
Let nature undo me
Maybe then I'll find peace
Among the roots of this woods
