A veces mi chica se pone tan triste,Sometimes my baby gets so sad,
pasó el otro día,She stopped by the other day,
No le respondí y se enojó,I wouldn't answer and she got mad,
me dijo, '¿Cuándo vas a salir a jugar de nuevo?'She said, "When you gonna come back out and play?"

Como un viejo oso en su guarida,Like an old grizzly down in his den,
resoplando y gruñendo y dando vueltas,snorting and growling and turning about,
Quizás si huelo la primavera en el viento,Maybe if I smell Spring on the wind,
podría pensar en salir de nuevo.I might think about coming back out.

Se pone bastante tranquilo en la casa de la soledad,It gets pretty quiet in the loneliness house,
Hay problemas en la ciudad, todos gritando,There is trouble in the city, everybody screaming,
De vez en cuando miro afuera,Once in a while I look out,

Odio dejar mis sueños y dudas,I hate to leave my dreams and doubts,
pero creo que podría ir a sentarme en el porche.but I think I might go sit on the porch.
