The Sleepless

I'm tired of feeling tired even when I close my eyes
This empty space inside my chest is consuming all my mind
I can no longer hide that I need something new
I crawl inside my mind hoping it will

Take me to another place, this is no longer where I wanna stay
Sleepless, I desperately try
To find something within myself that makes me feel alive

Tear me from the hands of time
I hold my breath, searching for a sign of life
Staring at the ceiling, I'm still waiting to feel something

Am I avoiding my own breakdown?

Another sleepless night, another breath I waste
Trapped in this cycle, I can’t seem to escape

A hollow shell, collapsing inside
I suffocate where this silence hides

This emptiness is what I know the most
No trust, no light, no hope
