Toda la naturaleza reconoció Tu nacimiento;All nature acknowledged Thy birth;
Comenzó el año aceptable,Arose the acceptable year,
Y el Cielo se abrió en la tierra.And Heaven was opened on earth.
Recibiendo a su Señor desde arriba,Receiving its Lord from above,
El mundo se unió para bendecirThe world was united to bless
Al Dador de concordia y amor,The Giver of concord and love,
El Príncipe y el Autor de la paz.The Prince and the Author of peace.

Oh, ¿te gustaría ser conocido de nuevo,O wouldst Thou again be made known,
Descender de nuevo en Tu Espíritu,Again in Thy Spirit descend,
Y establecer en cada uno de los TuyosAnd set up in each of Thine own
Un reino que nunca terminará?A kingdom that never shall end!
Solo Tú eres capaz de bendecir,Thou only art able to bless,
Y hacer que las naciones alegres obedezcan,And make the glad nations obey,
Y ordenar que cese la enemistad cruel,And bid the dire enmity cease,
Y someter al mundo entero a Tu dominio.And bow the whole world to Thy sway.

Ven entonces de nuevo a Tus siervos,Come then to Thy servants again,
Que anhelan conocer Tu aparición,Who long Thy appearing to know,
Tu reinado tranquilo y pacífico,Thy quiet and peaceable reign,
Establece la misericordia aquí abajo:In mercy establish below:
Toda tristeza huirá ante Ti,All sorrow before Thee shall fly,
Y la ira y el odio terminarán,And anger and hatred be o'er,
Y la envidia y la malicia morirán,And envy and malice shall die,
Y la discordia no nos afligirá más.And discord afflict us no more.

Ninguna horrible alarma de guerraNo horrid alarm of war
Romperá nuestro eterno reposo;Shall break our eternal repose;
No hay sonido de trompeta allí,No sound of the trumpet is there,
Donde el Espíritu de Jesús se derrama:Where Jesus' Spirit o'erflows:
Aplacados por los encantos de Tu gracia,Appeased by the charms of Thy grace
Todos nos uniremos en amistad,We all shall in amity join,
Y nos abrazaremos amablemente,And kindly each other embrace,
Y amaremos con una pasión como la Tuya.And love with a passion like Thine.
