From This Prison

Daylight blinds me it's cold darkness surrounds me
Body and heart sold for the cheapest offer
Always there for everyone, here for me anyone
No one I'd want here to be

Enchanting and terrible screams reach me through immaginary clefts
Embracing each other we try to get warm but roars haunt our sleep

We've wasted our days in material nonsense
It's hard to say but we've proceeded with blinders
We've only escaped from the narrow and straight path
Tried to carry out our few duties unsuccessfully
But has it all gone wrong

We shared nights and days with children's light-heartedness
Saved ourselves from each other's nightmares

Dot-line-dot stars as they twinkle
To deceive our eyes from this prison
Sunrise right after dinner
Breakfast twilight cappuccino

Thoughtless nocturnal laughter
Resounding through streets wide and narrow
Vandals just for a day

Darkness' warming
