Grandpa's Fiddle

I still remember family celebrations
When mom would roll the carpet from the floor
There did'nt have to been no big occasion
Friends would always find a welcome at the door

I'd watch them dance each other round the room
Mom and dad would sing their favorite tune
And gramma tapped her feet as i recall
When grampa took the fiddle from the wall

Old friends chatted freely with each other
Their memories passing many hours away
Sad songs making tears so hard to cover
Oh if only times like those were here today
