Lightning Storm

I'm watching the wind blow back thunder across the sky
white lightning cracks and bends while my hair stands on end
rain falls like an avalanche cascading down on my head
i'm running for shelter realizing there's none nowhere
rain falls down beneath the clouds
tunder crashes, roaring loud
I'm standing outside, so far from home
this black night I'm all alone
and it grows calm, but sprinkles on
releif's in sight, till lightning strikes
in an instant, a tree cries then crashes down on the ground
it once was a living thing, standing tall and proud
I want to surrender, but I'm already a prisoner
I got to get my shit together to weather this lightning storm
