Dave's Big Issue blues

Wish I could sing like Muddy Waters, don't want to play no blues guitar
Just want a voice like Elmore James, Howlin' Wolf or Taj Mahal
I need to tell about my troubles, of a wasted life so far

I'm sitting and I'm thinking and I don't know what to do
The rain is falling down and it's filling up my shoe
Nobody wants to know, wants to buy my Big Issue

And is it any wonder that I should sing the blues?
If you avoid my eye, I can't connect with you

We could share some time together, if you open up to me
