I met ray davies in a danish airport
Turned out to be a real nice guy
He said keep writing your songs, man
As long as you can
And i think that was good advice
But actually he didnt quite say that
I added that word man
Im just following his good words
But of course im a very big fan

I met many a famous person
Im not gonna drop any names
Sure, i did mention ray
When i started to play
But thats cos he is a credit to fame

Who actually quite freaked me out
They treated me like i was one of those guys

But commiserations to souls that are lost
