After War

I remember
When I went to war;
I can steel see
The blood of my friends!
I can’t forget
The terror in their eyes
And I feel again
These horrors in my life!

Now I search
For only one good reason
To justify
All the devastation.
During several years,
We killed and we killed.
But in reality
We were also dying slowly.

Every day I cry,
Every day I die!
Face to face with myself…
After war!

All around the world,
Men or women,
Old or young;
Their blood is on my hands.
I’m a murderer…
…But orders are the orders!
Why did I obey?
Now I hate me!

I truly have regrets,
How can I save me?
I want to tell you a secret;
Believe me,
War cannot result in peace!
For society
War is a disease.
We must find the remedy!
