With wise relics of peaceDe sabias reliquias de paz

When the prayer arrivesCuando llega la oración
The flock returns from the pastureVuelve la majada desde el pastizal
And there in the pigsties the bleating is heardY allá en los chiqueros se oye el balar
Of that kid that curled up and stayedDe ese cabrito que acurrucado se quedó

When the prayer endsAl cerrarse la oración
A song takes over like a sad crepeSe apodera un canto cual triste crespón
