The Cartographers

They stared blindly at the midnight sky
Struggled to read between the starry lines
To account for what they couldn’t see
They wrote tales of wonder and deceit
A gracefully constructed atlas
Framed with leaves of gold
Constellations shining like a gift of sight

Navigating through the given path
We’re blindfolded as we join the dance

Don’t you believe them
Their work is based on lies
Common illusions, a kingdom in the sky
But I’ll go further I’ll go beyond the veil
And draw the corners of the universe
