I left bubblegum
In my mouth overnight
Mother said I'd choke
But I'd just given up the fight

I laid out, like an arrow
With a head heavy as lead
And a heart starving mad
And a body overfed

I woke up in the coolness

Morning came, hubba was still there
Tucked away beneath my gums
Transformed in to bitter
