Su graciosa boca estaba curvada como un arco,His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
Y la barba en su mentón era tan blanca como la nieve.And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.

El toconcito de una pipa sostenía firme entre sus dientes,The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

Era regordete y rechoncho, un duende viejo y alegre,He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

Un guiño de su ojo y un giro de su cabeza,A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

No dijo una palabra pero fue directo a su trabajo,He spoke not a word but went straight to his work,
