On the warm streets of Brazil I learned to dream

Light suitcase, but a heart full of ambition

I traded samba for the cold northern air
Snow falling down, but I still didn't despair

I crossed borders, oceans and land
From green and gold to white winter sand

It was in Caribbean blue that I found my stand
Brazil taught me how to live
Canada taught me how to grow
But it was in Curaçao that I found
A place to call my home

In Canada I watched the sky turn crystal clear
Worked through the winters, faced emotional fear
Every step building tomorrow's plan
I learned that discipline walks hand in hand

Between the ice and the quiet night
I found my strength deep inside
