as he looked at the world of his father's hand
so much he wanted to understand
his countless questions, his curios joy

why are some people so unforgiving?
when did the sorrow begin?
how do the hungry ones go on living?
is this how they suffer for sin?

his sweet simplicity wondered why
this is a world where we all must die?
the darkness of doubt he could not avoid
