April´s Complaint

If she only had a mirror or a glass
She could sleep all day.
But the sun just creeps in slowly.
And April starts her day.

She doesn't have a lot to do.
It seems as her wish has blown away.

It never rains on Mondays
Because she has that point of view.
An April Fool for fun days,
She's standing in the morning rain.

She's better than the cabbage or the clocks
In a small German town
Where the people shout out "Twelve!" or
Maybe "Thirteen!"
When April comes to town.

She doesn't have a lot to lose.
