Bottles of Wine

I was having a drink in a smoky bar,
when I noticed an old friend of mine.
So, I sat at his table, and he called for the waitress,
and we ordered a bottle of wine.

We drank one bottle of wine,

I'd rather light candles than curse the dark,
and he said that the darkness is fine.
So, then we both then agreed, that we'd just disagree,

We laughed as the night slipped away from us.
It's funny how our lives intertwine.
For we both will be gone, by the coming of dawn.
