In Auschwitz many people,Ad Auschwitz tante persone,
But only a great silence;ma un solo grande silenzio;
It's strange: I still can'tè strano: non riesco ancora
smile here in the wind.a sorridere qui nel vento.

I ask how can manIo chiedo come può l'uomo
kill his brother,uccidere un suo fratello,
Yet we are millionseppure siamo a milioni
in dust here in the wind.in polvere qui nel vento.

The cannon still thunders,Ancora tuona il cannone,
The human beast is still not satisfiedancora non è contento
with blood,di sangue la belva umana,
And the wind still carries us.e ancora ci porta il vento.

I ask when will it beIo chiedo quando sarà
that man will be ableche l'uomo potrà imparare
to live without killing,a vivere senza ammazzare,
And the wind will settle.e il vento si poserà
