Mercy

I had a dream it was so real the men raising hands to the sky
They celebrate, they dance and sing, they pray for the ones who have died
But none of them, had tears in their beautiful eyes
Lighting candles to the wind they seem to be fooling the time
I understood the joy, the bliss, i felt i could see through their sight
I was amazed, ‘cause i could also see the light
Life is a dream, i have no fear
Now they are truly awake
Come back to visit, to rebirth and live
And life will no more fade away
All i ask for is mercy, i close my eyes and pray for their souls

Suddenly, i woke up and what did i see?
People dying by the border, i can’t believe
Skulls are real, you can hear the desperate call
I beg “dama de la muerte” please bless them all!
Innocent dying, trying to cross the line
Imaginary boundaries, stupidity of our time
You can not blame those who fight for a better life
Hungry and thirsty in the desert they may not survive
Hope and forgiveness can still save mankind
Open your heart and your mind!
