The wondrous trumpet spreading its soundTuba mirum spargens sonum
Through the graves of the regionsPer sepulcra regionum
Will gather all before the throneCoget omnes ante thronum
Death and nature will be astoundedMors stupebit et natura
When all creation rises againCum resurget creatura
To answer the judgmentJudicanti responsura
A written book will be brought forthLiber scriptus proferetur
In which everything is containedIn quo totum continetur
From which the world will be judgedUnde mundus judicetur
Therefore when the judge takes his seatJudex ergo cum sedebit
Whatever is hidden will appearQuidquid latet apparebit
Nothing will remain unpunishedNil inultum remanebit
What am I, a wretch, then to say?Quid sum miser tunc dicturus?
Which advocate to ask for help?Quem patronum rogaturus
When even the righteous may hardly be secure?Cum vix justus sit seccurus?
