The Letter

It's 2:45 am and I can't sleep tonight
You told me that you had written me a letter
To expect it any day now
I ask you for all the clues
You told me I'd have to wait and see
For delivery of your words to me

Today is letter day
Paper and a postage stamp
Takes my gray skies away

You ask me if I still feel the same way
as yesterday
If I cut your name in to my arm with broken glass
would that be proof enough?
I'll miss you befor I finish writing the next line

Why does there have to be this distance between us?
You're so far way
Forever lives in everyday
It's a test of strength
I believe in my heart
If it's truly meant to be
nothing will keep as apart [x2]
