Autumn

While I watched September fade
These orange leaves won’t call my name
But the cold nights seem to stay
I can’t shake this rain that falls onto me

But I see right through these blinds
And I’ll never realize
What it takes to have control
An open mind a cheerful soul

I feel stranded here
All they’ve done is leave
If there’s one to blame

Once you move along, and you’re pushed aside
The darker place is inside of your mind
