So I built my flawless saviour, draped in awe and distrust.
The advent approached with every trifle we discussed.
I was but a shadow until she dragged me from the soil.
Resurrected through a bloodletting of motor oil.

But I am still afraid my voice won't hold for cursed confessions to be retold.

What have I become?
Her last breath kissed the surface.
What have I become?.
Blank memoirs chained to a radiating screen.
Dawn broke with words sincere and serene as ones and zeroes flourished from her typing machine.

You stood before me in the middle of a dew-swept field.
I caressed your hands ever so tenderly. And so it was sealed.
Turquoise hid under your fringe, but your lips moved just enough to proclaim.
"I want you. Always. Do you feel the same?"
Everything was perfect as nothing but a reverie can be.
But reality has stolen my reply, so I offered you the only thing I had left; Silence.

Shards of mirrors face every insecurity.
Cowards with our excuses, fools call it purity.
I'll burn this haven that bred these dreams of different lives.
A lions wish denied.
As dusk approaches.
