Pray For Us

In the back of my yard
I paved to the stars a way
And worked on it really hard
A place for my kids to play
I planted a lemon tree
Spices and peppers too
A wooden fence you can see
A place to pray for me and you
A hammock, a mat, and a swing
For the children

In the morning I make coffee
And get down on my knees and pray
My dogs they wake up
Man, they’re beginning to play

Life and all this nature
And the hummingbird finds it’s place
I swear, there’s so much beauty
It’s everything I asked for today
And all I’ve learned from God
Man, it’s amazing grace
