In the darkest regions of the black abyss
The godless bearers of the flame
Savour the sweetness of the serpent's gift
It will keep the gods at bay

I have read your secrets in the solar wind
I have seen your features
In the breaches of the flame
I have unleashed the power of the fiery depths
I have faced the bleakness
Of eternity beyond the veil

I exposed the madness of the miniscule
I beheld a wealth of worlds in a grain of sand
I reduced your fate to the statistical
I held an infinity of infinities in my mortal hand

The thirst for knowledge
With each gain the more he yearns
The humbling realization
Less is know the more he learns
Promethean fire illuminates
But it burns

Mesmerized by the privileged view
Though blinded cannot look away

The world rotates beneath his feet
