Frozen Shade

The midnight moon glows as bright as day
Frozen shadows of dead trees plastered across the pathway
As frostbite tears at your skin
Only in this dense forest is it black enough to cut from within
As sure as darkness crept forth from the light
Out from that darkness I will always emerge away from your sight
Your putrid body I hunt in the dying night
From the predator sky you take flight
I want you dead...
With the silent slide of Death's hand
And the swing of my scythe towards your head
Your extinguished life seeps into the moist sand
Innocent blood cleans the sickle
A soul claimed for the blackest evil
And a shadow forever frozen on this land
