Tides Of War

Ten years ago,
Heralds arrived from persia
They asked for earth and
Water, the tokens of submission
A long journey in vain, because
They should know our answer
That we greeks place freedom
Above our lives

Sons of war, warrior's sons,
The hour has come
Call to arms, from the north,
Comes the storm

The new king and
His army are here again
For a war of reprisal
And revenge
Men will die,
Rivers of blood will flow
Gods unleash
The eternal tides of war

A clash between
Freedom and slavery
We'll stand against the king,
We'll fight his tyranny
A threat for our culture,
For our way of life

Even when outnumbered
We'll fight with all our might
The fate of dark death
Will fall on us
We'll die foe a higher cause,
A message we will send
Of pride and defiance,
Freedom's worth dying for
