we let rogue waves carry us down the coast lines,
past the board walks and the beach.
we slept on a life boat
and woke up too the south pacific sea.

with our hearts as our compass and eyes as our maps
we searched for a new home and never looked back.
in the state of hawaii, as the currents go,
with two boys and a girl.
but the harbors of boston

and this small chain of mountains
separates my young love from the west.
