Insomnia

I'm running away as far as I can
But there's no place to assuage my pain
Running for days, I'm doing a million things
But there's no way at last to fall asleep

Heartbeats are shakin' me too hard
Head seems to crash against a wall
Memories, thoughts are giving me no rest
Sleeping would be my greatest conquist

Muscles are tense like violin chords
My head is pulsing on the pillow
My back is hurting and I turn around
Only I know this hell, I'm falling down

Solitude marks the minutes like hours
And time has stopped in the silence of the night
Darkness arises like a void around me
There is no way to turn my head off
