Time Goes By

Thoughts roam my mind as headlights shine piercing the darkness around.
The wheels roll on like the days of my life into the future ahead.
I watch the cars go past as they go the other way.
Sometimes my thoughts follow then back into yesterday.
Behind me lies an old and familiar place.
Ahead uncertainty is starring me right in the face.
Sing out loud to stay awake as time goes by.
I watch the night turn into day and time goes by.
I've turn the corner into another world a different place in time.
Like a vapor on the road, so are those days of our lives.
Four kids in a van, on a mission from God.
Driving from state to state guided by the road.
