swim across the sky.
so atlantic black and green.
distant red rust of the passing ships.
counterweights the sun and the day has seemed to me.
meet it's watershed and surrenders.

the stratosphere where the stars live tumbles down.
stumbles toward earth.

black waves unfazed by a metamorphosis hurl white crests toward the shore.
the sounds of war like water seamless.
