Black Flame

Once again the black flame appears
Consuming my soul and burning my breath
I kneel before the heavy throb of my heart
A spark of dead memories that open my scars
Once more I experiment your kiss
And I have to leave the edge of the abyss
Things quickly became a mess
Even in my worst I try to give my best

I hide behind the smoke
But you always find me
And I become so numb
Until it's hard to see

I'm with my back to the wall
With no reaction at all
I fight an inner battle
I have to overcome the pain
Maybe I'm going insane
It's more than I can handle

In an instant it resurfaces and empties all my breath
I often forget what I want to remember
And always remember what I want to forget
Why so much pressure, depression, delusion?
Is everything drowned in confusion?
But I will be redeemed
And make that flame fuel to reach my dream
