Tonight they will be cheering
Tonight champagne corks will fly
Tonight they're celebrating
Confetti falls blue red and whit
the Elected giving speeches to the faithful standing by
Faithful, Grateful, Hopeful, for a few promised lies

Oh tonight, some will be modest
Tonight, some will concede
Tonight, best wishes offered
As they feign humanity
A defeated optimistic
Give there speeches with a sigh
Pontificate better days will come in two years time

Yesterday was baked in slander
Yesterday defined by lies
Yesterday the English language being bound and victimized
Simple words were simply spoken
And for conquest simplified
Every color of the rainbow,
Darkest black or brightest white

Yesterday were free did not play
Yesterday the spineless fight
Yesterday the bar was lowered
Broadcast in 30 seconds time
The opponent firmly fastened
in the rifles steady sights
the trigger pulled revealed we were within the bullets line

Tomorrow the sun rises
Tomorrow we will find
that the money spent
the half truths bent
won't change a thing in all our lives
the power hungry will have pushed their horrendous appetites
while starving masses falling grass
