Irodomeku machi no uenai otoko
Looking up at the moon is tasteless here
月を見上げるのはここじゃ無粋
Tsuki wo miageru no wa koko ja musui

In a life tangled in mud
泥に足もつれる生活に
Doro ni ashi mo tsureru seikatsu ni
The rain tasted like alcohol
雨はアルコールの味がした
Ame wa ARUKOORU no aji ga shita
In the city wandering with apathetic eyes
Apathyな目で彷徨う街で
Apathy na me de samayou machi de
In front of the innocent station of shared suspicion
共同不審のinnocent駅前にて
Kyōdō fushin no innocent ekimae nite

To call myself me is uncertain
僕が僕と呼ぶには不確かな
Boku ga boku to yobu ni wa futashika na
A translucent shadow lives like the wind
半透明な影が生きてる風だ
Hantōmei na kage ga ikiteru kaze da

If you sing in the rain, will the clouds part?
雨に歌えば雲は割れるか
Ame ni utaeba kumo wa wareru ka
The bustling summer light is a bud
賑やかな夏の光り蕾だ
Nigiyaka na natsu no hikari tsubomi da

拝啓忌まわしき過去に告ぐ絶縁の詩
Haikei imawashiki kako ni tsugu zetsuen no uta
Of the worst dreams of the worst days
最低な日々の最悪な夢の
Saitei na hibi no saiaku na yume no
Unable to discard the regrets
残念を捨てては行けず
Zannen wo sutete wa ikezu
Let's live here
ここで生きたえようと
Koko de iki taeyou to

光芒は先君に伝う変遷の詩
Kōbō wa sakigimi ni tsutau hensen no uta
Smeared with anguish, lament, and sorrow
苦悩にまみれて嘆き悲しみ
Kunō ni mamirete nageki kanashimi
Yet in the unwavering song
それでもとだえぬ歌に
Soredemo todænu uta ni
Even if the sun doesn't shine
日は射さずとも
Hi wa sasazu tomo

Tomorrow will die one after another, becoming the past without catching up in haste
明日は次々死んでいく急いでも追いつけず過去になる
Ashita wa tsugitsugi shinde iku isoide mo oitsukezu kako ni naru
We, in a hurry, the days we live are fleeting
息急げ僕ら灯る日は刹那
Ikisoge bokura tomoru hi wa setsuna
The meaning of life is realized later
生きる意味など後からつく
Ikiru imi nado ato kara tsuku

To be yourself is uncertain
君が君でいるには不確かな
Kimi ga kimi de iru ni wa futashika na
The unstable ego dislikes you
不安定な自我が君を嫌おうと
Fuan teki na jiga ga kimi wo kirau to

At least if you sing, will the darkness clear?
せめて歌えば闇は晴れるか
Semete utaeba yami wa hareru ka
It's a life entrusted to a dream that has been put to sleep
寝ぐされた夢に預かった命だ
Negusareta yume ni azukatta inochi da

Terikaesu yūhi ni kao wo shiyoumete

Should we go or should we return, we ponder
行こうか戻ろうか悩みはするけど
Ikō ka modorō ka nayami wa suru kedo
But after a while, we'll start walking
しばらくすれば歩き出す背中
Shibaraku sureba arukidasu senaka

That's right, we must go
そうだ行かねばならぬ
Sō da ikaneba naranu
Even if there's nothing, we must live
何はなくとも生きていくのだ
Nani wa naku tomo ikite iku no da

We are just picked up lives anyway
僕らはどうせ拾った命だ
Bokura wa dōse hirotta inochi da
Leaving them here, without tears
ここに置いていくよ泣けなしの
Koko ni oite iku yo nake nashi no

拝啓今は泣き過去を想う望郷の詩
Haikei ima wa naki kako wo omou bōkyō no uta
The worst days and the worst dreams
最低な日々が最悪な夢が
Saitei na hibi ga saiaku na yume ga
If you think it was the beginning
始まりだったと思えば
Hajimari datta to omoeba
It's quite far away
ずいぶん遠くだ
Zuibun tōku da

Anyway, flowers fall and return to the cycle of life
どうせ花は散り輪廻の輪に帰る命
Dōse hana wa chiri rinne no wa ni kaeru inochi
Smeared with anguish, lament, and sorrow
