Cloudbound

Heaps of clouds approach
They hover in marvellous shapes
There above
Makes me wonder how it would be
To touch and climb upon

Vast formations breed
Widening out into towering hills
Floating puffs arrange
Melting and merging in ivory haze

Rising further up
I'm climbing and struggling
To reach for the top
Cloudbound I behold
The wide world as a whole

By now I'm so high
Up in the clouds
I can smell the celestial fumes
Up here the sun burns so bright
Like a plasma-beam cutting
The ever-blue sky

Fields of candy floss
Bending and twisting
In numerous shapes

Rising to the top
I'm climbing and struggling
To reach further up
Cloudbound I behold
The wide world as a whole

Open wide
Endless skies
I'm so lost
Outside my mind

Melting and merging
In darkening greys
