con corazones alegres, sin pensamientos tristes, caminan con el barril vacío.with hearts of gladness, no thought of sadness, the empty barrel they're walkin'.

No atesoran oro porque el oro perecerá, no guardan tesoros ni riquezas,No gold they cherish for gold will perish, no store nor treasure preparing,
pero dales whisky para mantenerlos alegres con los vecinos, felices, comparten.but give them whisky to keep them frisky with neighbours, jolly, they're sharing.
Sin un centavo compartirán con cualquiera y nunca despreciarán a un mendigo,Without a penny they'll share with any and never a beggar is slighted,
te darán un barril si tan solo lo pides mientras despiertan al barril con alegría.they'll give you a cask if you but ask while they wake the barrel delighted.

Tarde y temprano están abarrotados con ciegos, cojos y lisiados también,late and early they're crowded fairly with blind men, crippled and lame too,
