Innocence Dies

The feeble past is gone
and a new dusk reveals to me
the truest path

And the lame grieves
of gone thralldom
seem so distant
on the brave new world
of this misty soil i thread

Where innocence dies
shattered
in the darkest, longest night

Fear not young one
for hell is only loss of faith
and loss of faith cannot be any less than freedom
The blood goes down the runway
along with coffins filled with secrets
dead gods and lost loves

Fear is no longer my enemy
instead we walk now hand in hand
i fall in love with the moon
and we belong together
to the darkest, longest night
As i raise my crown to the clouded sky
in defiance, like thunder
shine only when going to strike
