As soon as the battlecry of gauls
Raging came to our ears
Even before seeing
That enemy we never met before we fled
Following a trail of moonlight shreds

We sought the protection of the wood
Vibrant of menacing life on unbeaten paths
We quenched our thirst with forest tears
From mountain eyes
Nourished by the offspring of the trees
