Miraron hacia arriba y vieron una estrellaThey looked up and saw a star

Y a la tierra le dio gran luz,And to the earth it gave great light,
Y así continuó, tanto de día como de noche.And so it continued, both day and night.

Y por la luz de esa misma estrellaAnd by the light of that same star
Tres sabios vinieron de lejos,Three wise men came from country far,
Para buscar a un Rey era su intención,To seek for a King was their intent,
Y seguir la estrella dondequiera que fuera.And to follow the star whereever it went.

Esta estrella se acercó al noroeste;This star drew nigh to the northwest;
Sobre Belén tomó su descanso.O'er Bethlehem it took its rest.
Y allí se detuvo y permaneció,And there it did both stop and stay,
Justo sobre el lugar donde Jesús yacía.Right over the place whcre Jesus lay.

Entonces supieron con certezaThen they did know assuredly
Dentro de esa casa, el Rey yacíaWithin that house, the King did lie
Uno entró entonces para verOne entered in then for to see
Y encontró al bebé en la pobreza.And found the babe in poverty.

Luego entraron esos tres sabios,Then entered in those wise men three,
Con toda reverencia, de rodillas,Full reverently, upon bended knee,
Y ofrecieron allí, en Su presencia,And offered there, in His presence,
Su oro y mirra e incienso.Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.

Si en nuestro tiempo hacemos el bienIf we in our time do well
Estaremos libres de la muerte y el infiernoWe shall be free from death and hell
Porque Dios ha preparado para todos nosotrosFor God hath prepared for us all
Un lugar de descanso en general.A resting place in general.
