As I'm walking through these streets paved with misery,
I keep asking myself where we went wrong.
Was it somewhere in a long forgotten era,
that we missed a turn and crashed into the wall ?

Was it meant to be, the course of history ?
Was it written in the stars, did wise men come from afar ?
Or was it planned, or is it just a mistery that we live now in this land (of) ?

Did you know that what's not forbidden in the law is allowed ?
Well, that opens a new range of possibilities !
Everybody's running their own little charade...
Everybody's marching in the criminalparade...
